PTA
(The association of parents of students in the school and its teachers
and administrative staff).
The
objectives of the PTA shall be as follows:
- To
promote cooperation, consultation and interaction between the school's
teaching and administrative staff and the students' parents.
- To
encourage the exchange of viewpoints between the teachers and parents
on issues pertaining to the upbringing and guidance of the school's
students.
- To
enhance coordination between the school and the home in what is
deemed to be the best social methods that are followed in dealing
with the students. Such methods should be based on established scientific
foundations. This, in effect, should ensure that harmony will exist
between parental upbringing and the school's guidance. Consequently,
the student's character will be developed on sound and healthy grounds.
- To
cooperate and consult in studying and solving the problems and difficulties
the students generally face.
- To
cooperate in and work on developing the school's programme in all
curricular and extra-curricular activities which should enrich the
students' educational horizons.
- To
organise and participate in all activities that will promote the
school effectively, widening the students' cultural scope, exposure
and awareness.
- To
cooperate and participate in organising such programmes as school
parties, lectures, field trips and the screening of educational
films, and assist the school in raising funds and getting contributions,
whether in cash or in kind, thus supporting it to achieve its desired
objectives and goals.
