MADABA
Madaba is a small town located south of Amman. It is very famous for its gorgeous Byzantine mosaics; the famous one being the one located in the Greek Orthodox church of St. Geroge. The mosaic is a map of the Christian Holy Lands, and it includes the city of Jerusalem. This mosaic was made from over two million pieces and originally measured 25 metres by 5 metres. It was probably made around 560A.D.
