It is a six-year programme, split into three levels: Bronze for Grades 7
and 8, Silver for Grades 9 and 10, and Gold for Grades 11 and 12. All
students are required to complete a specified number of hours per year
in each CAS category. Creativity covers a wide range of artistic
activities, outside the curriculum, including creative thinking in the
design and execution of service projects. Action includes individual and
team sports and physical education activities outside the curriculum, as
well as a compulsory expedition and military camp. Service
consists of
interaction with and working for others in the community.
A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered to the students
and a challenging expedition is organised for each grade every year.
There are compulsory first-aid courses and civil defence workshops
arranged for each grade.
Credit hours are awarded for participation in activities; stars are also
awarded for exceptional performance or achievement within an activity.
Upon completion of the Bronze and Silver levels, a full two-year
scholarship is awarded to the highest achieving student, whilst the
runner-up is awarded a 40% two-year scholarship. The student achieving
the highest number of stars/hours in the Gold Level is rewarded with a
solid gold medallion.
Our aim is to provide students with the opportunities and skills needed
to reach personal goals and ambitions, at the same time promoting the
values of participation, cooperation, social responsibility and good
citizenship.
Within the framework of the AHA, Senior School students participate in
educational activities such as the Model United Nations (MUN) and an
annual international conference called Amman Model Arab League (AMAL),
which was initiated and organised by the school. Additionally, we have a
very active Student Council, which is elected annually.
